The Red Letters

Jesus’ life story is told in the four gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. You may have noticed that in some Bible translations, there is red text in these books. These words in red represent the words of Jesus. Because we can see what Jesus said in his own words, we no longer have to ask ourselves “What would Jesus do?” when we face difficulties in life. Instead, we can read for ourselves what he did and said. By looking at the letters in red, we can apply Jesus’ words to our lives, understand God’s desires for mankind, and see God’s love and plan for our redemption.
